Usually the FBI won't even consider you as a potential hire, unless you posses at minimum a bachelor's or master's degree in foreign languages, engineering, science, or criminal justice. With the advancement of technology, security, and the overall intensity that naturally comes with being an agent, the FBI expects you to also have experience in some of the following areas:

  • Engineering
  • Fluent with some of the world's most common foreign languages
  • Laws/contracts
  • Military training
  • Computer science or Information Technology (IT)
  • Physical Sciences like chemistry, biology and physics.
