As a DEA agent expect to work with the CIA and FBI in coordinating investigations concerning the control of drugs and preventing international smuggling.  You will be educated in report writing, law, drug recognition, leadership and ethics.  Physical training includes marksmanship, weapons safety, tactical shooting and deadly force decision making.  Here are some of the day to day job duties you will be responsible for managing:

• Infiltrating drug trafficking organizations
• Arresting violators
• Investigating laundering schemes
• Investigating the illegal distribution of prescription medications
• Testifying in court

Working for the Federal government provides several options and the mobility to apply to other positions that you are properly trained for.  Some of these include:

• Diversion Investigator – responsible for investigating new growing drug problems
• Forensic Chemist – analyze evidence and develop intelligence to help prevent the drug trafficking.
• Fingerprinting Specialist – Provides the use of state of the art technology for fingerprint recognition.
• Intelligence Research Specialist – Conduct significant drug investigations and counter drug operations.
