Career Outlook for a Police Officer
Once you become a police officer there are plenty of positions and jobs that you can work towards including but not limited to sergeant, lieutenant, chief, and detective to name a few. There is also the prospect of transferring to agencies such as the FBI and CIA. Though in order to be considered for these transfers, you must have obtained at the very least a bachelor’s degree. If you are looking to climb up the ranks quickly, keep in mind that a promotion is awarded based on how well you do in the field and how competent you are when taking advanced civil service exams.
