A CIA Agent's Salary

The salary you earn depends on the grade you are given upon being hired.  The longer that you stay in the position you're at, the more money you'll be given.  Once you are initially hired, expect to make around $40,000.  Some of the higher GS (GS is the tag for your grade, it is usually followed by a number to signify your rank, or “grade”) levels enter into the $100,000+ range.  Keep in mind though a widely known fact is that most salaries in the CIA are lower then those offered in private sector positions for your talent level. While you spend your time working your way up the ranks the perks the CIA offers are great.
